2 Days Selous Nyerere National Park Trip

Program: You will be picked up at the hotel 08:00am in the morning after breakfast and drive for 5-6 hours to Selous Nyerere National Park. Upon your arrival you will have hot lunch at the Camp followed by short rest. At 16:00pm enjoy evening Boat safari in the Rufiji River for 2-3 hours. There you will find a variety of birds’ species and a lot of crocodiles with hippos during your boat safari. In the evening, you will have an overnight stay at Selous Camp

Nyerere National Park is the home to a large number of birds and mammals. Tourists visiting this park have a good chance to spot Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, Rhino and other plains game such as Giraffe and Zebra. Because this park is less visited, the animals here tend to be less familiar with humans, something that makes a safari here a more authentic African experience.

For bird watchers, there are more than 430 recorded bird species in the park combined with Selous Reserve. Some of the birds one can spot here include the Giant Kingfishers, Pink-backed Pelicans, White-fronted Bee-eaters, African Skimmers, Ibises, Yellow-billed stork, Purple-crested Turaco, Malagasy squacco Heron, Fish Eagles, Hornbill and many more birds Once game drives are done, we drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
